Bears ridicule Lovie Smith for being first Black American to lose a Super Bowl

General manager Jerry Angelo admitted that contract negotiations between the Chicago Bears and head coach Lovie Smith is going badly because Smith is "the first African American to lose the Super Bowl."

"How lame is that," said Angelo. "Yeah, he was coach of the year last year, but this year he goes down as a loser and he wants us to pay him more? We'll see."
