President Bush’s State of the Union address filled renditions of Kumbaya and Square dancing WASHINGTON, DC (January 24)--Right after singing Kumbaya with members of Congress, President George Bush did about five minutes of the electric slide and five minutes of square dancing where he ended up with a nice do-ce-do with Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi. It was a great display of bipartisanship. Then Bush did the incredible: He made history by not only starting the address with the words "Madam Speaker," but by giving two State of the Union addresses in one speech. He talked about key domestic issues, but stayed on course with his troop surge plan for Iraq. Overall, he’s hoping this performance will allow him to skip the next State of the Union address. The key to Bush's successful address was his frequent smiles and poignant pensive looks.
